Waiting for weeks for crowns to be made at a lab and later fitted at your local dentist is a thing of the past. Say goodbye to biting on gooey impression material for several minutes, having a numb mouth and maybe even a jaw ache. Don’t put up with a temporary replacement as an interim compromise. And of course save time on dentist appointments.
Digital impressions and computer aided design
Modern dental practices like ours now use a camera that can capture the full set of teeth in seconds by taking what are called digital impressions. The data are then transferred to a computer and from there to an on-site milling machine that shapes the crown or other tooth replacement from a solid block of ceramic. Computer aided design combined with computer aided manufacture ensure both utmost precision of the dental restoration and an unprecedented convenience for the patient.
Quick and convenient
And by the way: you can watch it happen as you sit in a chair and enjoy a cup of coffee or tea. In Omokoroa our high-tech milling machine has pride of place in the waiting room, and you can marvel at the crown being shaped right in front of your eyes. In Pyes Pa we are happy to take you to our lab room if you want to see your new tooth take on shape.
It all happens in just one visit!
