Dental treatment in Tauranga
Need a smile makeover? Sometimes all it takes is a simple dental treatment plan to renew your smile, such as teeth whitening, a crown, or a new white filling. But if you have a more complex problem, such as missing, damaged, or decayed teeth, and possibly other dental problems that seem too overwhelming to tackle, we can help. Complex does not have to mean complicated.
Our dentists are fully trained to perform a wide range of therapeutic dental treatment procedures, and with the help of advanced technology, we can bring your teeth back to health and full function. Book a consultation with ER Dental Today!
Restoring functionality and appearance
Having healthy gums and a full set of teeth comes with many benefits, such as enjoying all kinds of food again. The ability to bite and chew food properly makes it possible for nutrients to be fully absorbed as they pass through the digestive tract. A complete set of healthy teeth also improves your quality of life because you can smile with confidence again – and that’s priceless
The smile renew process
Step one : Consultation
Meet our team. We can arrange a free 15-minute consultation if you want to meet our friendly staff and the dentist who will be performing your treatment. After this visit, we can book a full-mouth assessment. This step can be skipped if you already know that you want to get the treatment.
Step two: Full-mouth assessment
During this full-mouth assessment, our dentist will spend time getting to know you and discussing your needs and expectations. We will do a detailed examination of your mouth including all necessary digital X-rays as well as a full-mouth, panoramic X-ray. We will also take high-definition intra-oral photos. This helps you to see what we see, and it helps you to better understand all the available treatment options we are going to discuss with you.
Depending on your individual situation, we will suggest a range of procedures such as:
- Sure Smile clear aligners to straighten your teeth
- Fastbraces to straighten your teeth and correct your bite
- White fillings
- Teeth whitening
- Veneers to change the shape, colour and surface texture of unsightly but healthy teeth
- Crowns to restore fractured teeth, to strengthen teeth that had or will need root canal treatment, or to encase discoloured teeth
- Implants to replace individual missing teeth
- Implant-based partial or full dentures to replace multiple or all missing teeth
- Root canal treatment to treat infected teeth before they can be crowned
- Extraction of teeth that cannot be saved
After this visit, we will ensure you understand all options available to you. We will also supply you with a detailed estimate for every step along the way. We can also discuss options to finance larger treatment plans if needed.
We want you to leave our surgery with a true and honest understanding of your mouth and its implications on general health. If we can achieve this, we have done our work as oral health professionals.
There is no obligation for you to accept the treatment recommended.
Step three: Dental treatment begins
Once you are happy and comfortable with the treatment option that suits your circumstances, we can start the treatment. We have the most advanced dental equipment available. This will help us perform your dental treatment as comfortably as possible in the fewest possible visits.
Our professional team will work very hard to ensure each visit is a pleasant visit. Our aim is to have you comfortable in the dental chair.
Step four: Ongoing maintenance
During this phase, we will work with you on a program to ensure we actively maintain your restored oral health and your new smile. We will recommend regular visits and introduce you to our friendly hygienists. They are critical team members who help to prevent any new problems and to maintain the healthy smile we have achieved together.
